About
I got my start when my father gave me a (now ancient) Konica 35mm SLR. Back then, I had no idea what film was, but all I knew was that it went in the camera, and eventually, you took it out to see your pictures. I lost interest in film quickly, instead discovering skateboarding at the ripe age of about eleven.
Fast forward a few years, and I received my second opportunity. I started shooting flowers in the backyard with a Nikon Coolpix 950, and grew into my first self-purchased camera, a Minolta DiMage 7. With that camera, I shot my first ever commercial print, a layout of Oyster shooters.
From that moment on, I was hooked. I became more involved with Photography, eventually purchasing another Nikon SLR, and then started investing in lenses. I traveled to Europe, and while there discovered what a great story pictures could tell. I decided to pursue my hobby further, and branch out from food.
While I continue to photograph food for commercial uses, I have found a love for photography of all genres. Currently I am sketching a rough outline to start an editorial piece based loosely on local politics.
Hope you've enjoyed a glimpse into my life and checked out my website. Tervetuola!
